3 Stars Great Sound Quality but Crackels very soon
I purchased this product back in April when i ordered a new 120GB Zune off Amazon… Upon recieving both products I was suprised to hear how good the sound quality was - near cassette adapter quality and nothing like any of the other FM Tuners I’ve used in the past…. The unit kept the station even when it was unplugged, the light was convenient and it was strong enough of a signal that i didn’t have to change the station at all…. All in all this was a great buy for the that first month until yesterday when something happened (and I don’t know what) to cause every an ear-grinding crackle every time the MP3 player or the unit’s cable were moved even slightly [a sensitivity that was not present during the prior month]…. Not sure what caused this issue since it was not dropped or removed from the cigrette ligter for the last month but i would think it should have a longer life than 1 month…. Not sure what I’m going to do because if i have to pay shipping for warranty sevice on this then It might not be worth. One things for sure.. when i have to replace it I will think 2x about getting a coby.. great quality or not due to this longevity issue.

4 Stars Coby FM iPod transmitter
works very well so far…better than my cassette adapter. Like every FM transmitter, it runs into interference from time to time. But set at a low FM frequency (like 87.9) the interference seems to be minimal (except in large metro areas where there are “pirate” radio stations and maybe near the Mexico border.) Wish it recharged my iPod during travel but I’m still happy with it.

5 Stars Works great, a power switch maybe even better.
I use it on my 2004 Chrysler Sebring 4Dr sedan, the MP3 player is Sony A828 4GB. Most of the time I drive in the small city, but not yet any interference from other FM emitter. This one has very little noise, because of the long wire, but negligible. The noise between changing songs does not exist to mine, probably depends on each MP3 you are using.

cons: you need to turn on the volume a little bit louder than usually, so when you forgot to plug in the emitter, the noise of the radio is rather annoying. So a power switch or an automatic power switch may be desirable.

1 Star There are better alternatives
This is my second FM transmitter (after having the iriver AFT 100 Mobile FM Transmitter) and I was severely disappointed in it. I was surprised how well-constructed this seemed out of the packaging (nice sturdy-feeling body, a thick coiled cable), but once I plugged it in, the problems began.

First, I found that if you bumped the cable however slightly, it would produce a lot of static or bumping sounds. This cable is EXTREMELY touch sensitive and would make the worst noises if I so much as picked up my MP3 player to change the song. And that’s with the transmitter securely plugged into the cigarette adapter, by the way.

Second, the signal of this thing was just terrible. Now I live in an urban area, but there are a TON of empty stations. But even on these stations my MP3 player sounded grainy at best, with white noise constantly in the background. I flipped through every channel trying to find a better alternative, but I had to settle for fuzzy noise in the background.

Third, while I really appreciate transmitters that let you scroll through all FM channels as opposed to giving you two or three options, I was kinda disappointed that the Coby doesn’t include quicksave buttons, i.e. programmable stations so you can save your own stations that sound the best. The iriver had this handy feature, but this guy did not, and I found myself missing it.

Overall, I wanted to try a new transmitter (my iriver AFT 100 Mobile FM Transmitter broke a while back) and decided to try this Coby to disappointing results. I will be getting a new iriver; its quality is amazing (mostly because I think it’s beyond FCC regulations). The only reason I had to get a new transmitter was because my old iriver broke, but this time I’ll be sure to keep the receipt and warranty information.

Avoid this thing, especially if you’re in any kind of urban setting at all.

1 Star Two TERRIBLE Experiences
After about three months of sheer delight with this adapter, it started working intermittently. After trying to contact customer service for technical advice (kept on hold, told I was 23rd, then 18th, then 9th then told to call back later, wasting over twenty minutes each of the three times), I finally just sent the darned thing back. About two months later a new one came, although I had purchased another adapter that was wired in permanently, so I didn’t need it right now. The new one sat unused, and unopened, for about three months and I needed to use it for a trip in another car that didn’t have any MP3 plug. I cut open the package, plugged it into my cigarette lighter and MP3 player, it lit up and looked just fine but produced no signal to the radio. I tried it in another car and same problem. This company has a serious problem with quality control and customer service. I just trashed the new replacement unit along with the packaging. I will avoid purchasing ANYTHING that says COBY on it.

3 Stars Great for women or kids
I bought this after reading the reviews and the concerns about the band size, but thought my puny tri-biceps wouldn’t be a problem: wrong! The band barely reaches. Having said this, the design is excellent so I’ll be stitching a Velcro extension on it. I use it at the gym and mount it upside down on my arm (albeit very tightely until I add the extension) so I can read the Zune to make music changes while jogging. I can’t comment on it weatherproofness as I exercise indoors but can say that after every exercise the back of my Zune has moisture: I assume it’s from my perspiration and isn’t a big deal as I just wipe the Zune after use. One reviewer mentioned that s/he had trouble using the Zune wheel through the plastic and so cut a hole in it: I have had no such problem.

1 Star Not for serious lifters!!!
I lift 5 days a week and I could not fit this thing around my bicep, I was forced to use it on my forearm. When I went to adjust it the metal ring snapped like a toothpick, I was pissed. If you are a serious weight lifter with big arms DO NOT buy this product, it will not fit where you want it to and you will break it sooner or later. Also its neoprene and it absorbs sweat and after a few workouts it smells horrible. I was forced to constantly wash it and wait and wait for the stupid thing to dry before I could use it again. The Zune sticks to the plastic shield and makes it difficult to slide and and out.

I bought mine directly from Belkin before I became an Amazon junkie and I paid WAY more than its listed here and I also paid for overnight shipping, they billed me and never sent it, after calling them 5 times over the course of a month and a 1/2 and getting constant run around that they lost my order and they cant find it in there system I finally got my piece of crap in the mail.

I use this armband for my Zune 120 all the time. It fits snugly and safely, is easy to use, and it’s perfect to take for a walk, jog, or going to the gym. No complaints at all!

4 Stars Armband is a bit small
My arms are probably about 16-17 inches at the bicep. This thing is already tight on my arm at the loosest possible adjustment. If your arms are bigger than this, get something else. Otherwise it’s a pretty good quality case for running/jogging.

2 Stars could have made the metal piece on the armband better
the armband worked good, didnt move around too much, and did its purpose for about a month and a half. Then the metal rectangular piece broke on me while i was doing some wind sprints. So, I gave the review a 2 star only because it did last through repedative 5 day a week workouts for a month and a half.

I bought this product after reading reviews, so I know what I am getting …it is bulky and bit uncomfortable in using in Gym etc but it protect ipod very well…comes with belt clip and very useful…I recommend this product

3 Stars IPod 120Gig Protective Case
This is my first IPod; I bought it to use in my Goldwing motorcycle and felt it should be protected. Also, in reading reviews before my purchase it became clear that a protective case was very desireable to avoid damage to the IPod in everyday use. This case seemed the most capable of protecting my investment so I bought it at the same time and put the IPod into it immediately. The case itself does not disappoint. It’s tough, rugged, and the IPod cannot fall out of it. However, the screen protective cover absolutely will not stay in place and this is very annoying. The case should be redesigned with a deep U shaped lip all around the edge to retain the cover. If the cover had stayed in place, the review would have warranted five stars.

not a bad case at all, i had the same version for the zune before and it lasted through my whole deployment in iraq.

-can throw it off a small building or a moving vehicle

-comes with hard-plastic (or glass?) screen protector

-looks sexy

-belt clip it comes with is freakin huge! there are smaller ones you can find that will fit

-makes your ipod a little bulky but it doesn’t bother me, i need the protection!

4 Stars Hey! Nice skin
I think this product is good. It serves its purpose. My ipod is protected and I still have control over the buttons and charging it. The only complaint I have is that the belt clip is loose and when I lay on my back to do bench press the i pod shifts, sometimes the headphones get caught and pulled from the ipod. That doesnt happen much and overall I really like this skin.

5 Stars Extra protection…
Got this for my iPod so that I didn’t get it all scratched up. I like the design, protects well and isn’t too bulky.

5 Stars WORTH PURCHASING..
I am glad I purchased this item although if I hadn’t gone back to the review from Stan Johnson, I would not know how to use it. My purchase did not come with instructions. Thanks Stan!

I have hemmed and hawwed over whether to purchase this item for the past 3 months especially since the price was so high but when it came down and getting tired of all of the talking on the radio and reading Mr. Johnson’s review, I took a chance and purchased it.

After fiddling with it (okay my boss tuned it in for me), I am in Zune heaven in my car now. The song titles and name of the artist also appear on the radio (if your vehicle has this feature). I live in a high frequency area in Virginia but once we found an FM station that was purely static, my Zune came in crystal clear. Now mind you, this is a FM transmitter not a Kenwood or Bose FM sounding device. In other words, it won’t sound like you are in Carnegie hall but you can listen to your Zune without static (I do have to turn the volume up alittle more than I normally do on a regular radio station).

The only time it does get alittle static but does not go off, is when I go through the tunnel just like a normal radio station. I don’t have to move my Zune around or point it in the direction of the antenna or hold it while I am driving…just plug it in, turn on my Zune and it works like a charm.

I will need to see how it does when I take road trips through the country (might be a pain looking for a good station to sync with) but it’s better than listening to nothing but pure static. I am also one of those people who always seems to get buyer’s remorse and I did when I first tried to tune it but once it was properly tuned, I haven’t regretted my purchase.

P.S. The rubber pad works wonderfully, my player does not move at all.

After a couple of weeks of being in my vehicle, the front control panel will be stick to the cigarette lighter because the glue holding the back piece on has come off.

Average performance from the product.

4 Stars Works excellent with Zune player
I purchased this item to work with my Zune 4GB Player and it works quite well. There are occasional times when I have to adjust it to get it to work but about 95% of the time it works exactly as it should. Just need to find the right station to tune to if you are in a high traffic area. That is the only adjustment needed. I am glad I purchased it as now I have access to my music at all times.

5 Stars works like it should
Replaced a belkin FM tuner with this. Far superior to the Belkin in every way. Although it didn’t find the channel I use by default, it’s working just fine, sounds great, and i love the constant musical companion

My boyfriend tried buying the fm transmitter through Zune and it tooks weeks and then he got an email saying it is unavailable, I looked on amazon and found it for half the price and its a charger too! Love this product!
