Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM Transmitter Charger for iPod

Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM Transmitter Charger for iPod

Why shuffle through stacks of CDs and tapes to find the song you want in the car when you can listen to the iPod? The Monster Cable iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM transmitter gives your car stereo great-sounding, wireless access to your entire iPod library, all while charging the portable jukebox to keep the music playing. Simply plug one end of the iCarPlay Wireless Plus into the 12-volt cigarette lighter and the other end into the dock connector on the bottom of your iPod. Once you select matching FM stations on your car stereo and the iCarPlay device, you’re ready to roll. Your favorite music will transmit wirelessly to your car stereo using FM frequencies, and because it offers full FM tuning flexibility (excluding 87.7 and 87.9 MHz), you’re guaranteed top-quality, interference-free sound. Meanwhile, Monster’s Smart Digital Charging technology will rapidly charge your iPod when the power is low, and when its fully charged, the transmitter switches to a trickle charge to optimize the iPod’s performance. You’ll never have to worry about running out of power when using the iCarPlay. Additional features include three programmable “favorite station” preset buttons, an easy-to-ready LED display, and 24k gold contacts for maximum corrosion resistance and power transfer. The iCarPlay is compatible with all iPods that utilize a dock connector, including the iPod mini. Does not power or charge iPod Nano 4th gen., iPod touch 2nd gen. and iPod classic 120gb.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars 4th Generation Nano Use
Sounds clear when I can find a compatible station. The only drawback is that it will not charge a 4th generation IPOD Nano.

5 Stars Works Wonderful
This product works wonderfully. I have had it for more than two months and it has not messed up yet. A previous one I had bought had a constant ringing noise in the background. This one does NOT have that ringing noise. Thank you!!!

1 Star Terrible if you are near any city
Extremely poor audio quality…mostly due to a weak transmitter. Does not charge any late generation ipods.

If you are anywhere near an urban area, their is so much interference from adjacent stations (no matter where you program the unit) and the weak transmitter just can’t overcome it. If you can actually find an area in the US that does not have many transmitters you might actually hear something though there will be a lot of static. The only time it has worked for me when I am deep underground in a parking garage. Useless.

5 Stars Best fm transmitter for iPod
Great inexpensive product that really does transmit iPod music through the car stereo with very little interference.

4 Stars Better than commercial radio
Generally works pretty well. There is some inevitable static but with the ability to change stations this can be minimized. Plays well enough in general but for the price paid it plays really well. Happy with purchase.
