5 Stars great great GREAT
the price and shipping was great. I was able with the software from Coby to change my movie and video clips so I now have them on the Coby player. lots of room for pictures also. ofcourse, the music downloads were a snap. earphones were good sounding and controls are easy and well placed. would definitely get another or give as a gift. looking into a Coby tv as am very impressed with their product.
5 Stars Excellent product at low price
I use the device mostly for music/radio and in my opinion the quality of the sound is excellent. Very good product considering the remarkable low price. Color display is clear. Fully compatible with Vista. Software installation and usage is simple. File downloading is a bit slow but not a tragedy! The combination of buttons/menu options is simple once you get accustomed to it as, for some operations you need to go back home and then start making your selection. Initially it may be a bit annoying. Included headphones are not outstanding but acceptable. I hope it lasts!
3 Stars Some improvement required
It is a good product. I wish that it was “audible ready” to play audible audiobooks. Also the “updating library” can be a pain sometimes .
3 Stars Not really user friendly
I do like it but it takes getting used to the Menu. I could not find anyway to play “random” or program and replay a series of songs
3 Stars Not bad… Esp. for the price.
Let me begin by admitting that I am “downgrading” to a Coby 610 from an ipod Nano which broke (mysteriously) a few months ago. I needed an MP3 player, and I could not afford to invest in a new Nano. The Coby was my compromise: at a fraction of the price and apparently with far greater capabilities, this machine had the contest hands down.
Well, sort of. My principal need was a machine that would play music WELL and hold a lot of it. I got what I paid for: the Coby 610 has copious memory (more than enough for my needs) and seems to be able to play my music just fine. So my complaints here are technically superficial. But I think they are worth considering.
First, if you get a Coby 610, you will be amazed at how light and chintzy the plastic case seems. My Nano had a sturdy, flashy, beautiful metal case– this one FEELS ready to crack in my hands (note: actual cracks have yet to appear). Second, you will notice that the font used on the display screen is a blocky system font– easy enough to read, I guess, but far from sleek or stylish. Next, you will discover that the “fly wheel” on the lower half of the front panel does not “fly” at all: the Nano had a wheel that actually “swirled” allowing me to scroll and navigate through the Nano’s various menus: here, it is just a directional up/ down/ left/ right button placed on a silver wheel.
Okay, more good things: I was blown away by the fact that, for about $30, I could watch a full-length movie on the [tiny] display screen. I mean, it’s really, really small, and the practicality of watching ANY movie on a screen so small must be considered questionable, but there it was, right there: a movie on the LCD display. My Nano could never do that.
Am I happy with my purchase? I guess so. I do not feel like I was ripped off, certainly, nor do I feel like I walked in blind. I guess I was, just, well, disappointed… When I got it out of the box and started working with it I was disappointed. I didn’t feel like I had gotten an amazing new thing for a bargain price. But I am glad I have it. Rihanna just isn’t the same unless you can hear her sing.

1 Star Cheap product=poor reliability
I bought this for my 9-yr-old as an inexpensive mp3 player. First one didn’t work, so I returned it for a 2nd one. It didn’t work either. The workmanship not only feels cheap, but is cheap. Maybe you’ll get lucky if you order this…but maybe not. A frustrating month after we first ordered it, we finally figured out that we’ll have to buy something of higher quality. I can only warn you that you’ll likely get less than what you pay for with this piece of junk.
4 Stars Review od Coby MP305-4G MP3 Player
I’d like the fact that this product came with full documentation and it was pretty straighforward to use. The only drawback that I found is that this product does not have the option to shut it off itself after a given period of time, it will remain on all the time.
4 Stars I wish
I bought the Coby MP305-4GMpc Player with the 4 GB Flash Memory FM Radio for use in my Fitness Center to listen to the TV’s they have available. I purchased this product because the radio I owned didn’t get good reception and would cut out completely at times. The MP305 gets GREAT reception even though the Fitness Center is located in the basement of a 6 story industrial building. My only “wish” would be to have Amazon offer an arm band holder for it at the time of check-out because I ended up going to the store to purchase one after the fact.
5 Stars A Very Nice Basic mp3 Player
If you need a basic mp3 player, with no frills, and you want a low priced product, this is what you want. You don’t have to worry about slapping a charge on this player, as it uses common AAA-batteries. It has excellent sound and selectable equalization. I am addicted to talk radio, so this mp3 player meets my needs well. There is ample room for many hours of talk with more than enough room left over for enough music to keep you supplied with a day’s worth of music. The best thing of all is the price. I would be able to buy 5 of these for less than I paid for my first Samsung Yepp mp3 player. My only critcism is that this player would have been better served with a AA-battery. A single AAA-battery will not get you ,more than 8 to 10 hours if you have the volume up at maximum, as I do when I’m at work. Other than battery life, this is an outstanding little player.
5 Stars Great MP3 Player For A Small Price
I’ve been using this Coby MP3 player for a month now and I’ve been completely satisfied with it. The capacity of about 1,000 MP3’s is more than enough for my purposes and the sound is excellent. I’ve used three different sets of earbuds with it and the basic earbuds that come with it actually produce a pretty decent quality of sound and plenty of volume. The FM radio performance is extremely good and locks in on stations really well. The built-in software for downloading files from a PC has worked well with no problems. The only minor shortcoming I can find is that the filing system used requires you to search by album rather than by artist, which can be a little cumbersome. However, if your primary use of the player is to use it in a random shuffle mode, then this is not a problem. For overall value and performance, this is an excellent product.
