4 Stars Works for me!
I am not a music geek. I wanted something easy to use. I was looking for something that would allow me to share my music with others or to play the music out loud as I do things around the house without having to constantly wear earbuds. My husband and I also like listening to sermons from our world-wide ministry. These sermons are available via MP3s from our church website and I wanted to be able to listen to those with my DH. The music, the podcasts, and the audio church messages all play well on the iLive boombox. We’ve used the radio and cd player with good results too. The remote control is just fine. The ipod docking station was the biggest reason I bought this and it is as expected, maybe even a little better than expected.

We are not audiophiles but we don’t like tinny or scratchy or cheaply made things. We didn’t have to worry about any of that with the iLive portable boombox. If you are looking for something inexpensive, effective, and easy to use, I would recommend this product.

2 Stars Static noise at low volumes
Perhaps this boombox is alright if you are only playing at “boom” volume levels, but for quieter moments you can hear annoying static interference through the speakers. Poorly designed circuitry I’d say — perhaps poor wiring insulation or some form of feedback. Tried both my iTouch and my kid’s Nano with similar disappointing results.

Junk would not recommend this product to anyone, Luck would have it I was able to get a complete refund less the shipping.

5 Stars Excellent radio and iPod dock for the office desk.
I bought this one as a sound system for an office desk and it is excellent for the purpose. Doesn’t take up to much space, good sound quality, and an excellent value for money. There are better sound systems, but they’re either too big or too expensive to leave in an office.

Couldn’t be easier to use, truly plug & play. Sound quality is as good as the source file is. Charges the ipod as expected, and dropping one into the dock doesn’t interrupt your current activity. And since the ipod touch only comes with a usb cable for charging, it’s nice to not have to boot up the computer just to charge the ipod.

4 Stars great product with just 1 missing instruction
The Yamaha YDS-11SL allowed me to connect my iPod to my yamaha A/V receiver. My primary reason for doing this was to show the digital pictures stored on the iPod. The instructions did not show how to do this. However, the Yamaha website had the instructions and they were very clear. It works exactly as it should, and it was extemely easy to connect. The review would be 5 stars if the YDS-11SL instructions were more complete. BTW, the ability to play the iPod stored songs is on the instructions and works perfectly. You can even use the small remote that came with the A/V receiver. I recommend this product if you want to show your stored pictures on your TV. Just don’t bore your friends.

5 Stars Life Saver
I had been watching at stores for a product like this, but put off by the $25-30 price tag. When I saw this I jumped on it. It arrived in 2 days, and it’s wonderful! Now I just plug in my cell & iPod at the charging station at night, and know I’m always going to have a fresh charge. Only thing, I wish I would have bought about 6 of them, with kids, hubby, etc., using it too!!!

The descriptor “rapid” is misleading. The accompanying advertisement should have been specific, e.g. it takes about an hour to recharge a 16 gb Ipod with this device.

5 Stars Must Have iPod Charger
I wonder why I waited so long to get this! The shipping outweighed the cost of the actual charger, but still a great deal. Listen to your iPod while charging from any outlet. No need for a computer. This is great for traveling and at night when you don’t want to keep your computer on just to charge your iPod. I know most people don’t leave home without their laptop, but I don’t feel comfortable taking mine on school trips (our high school has some cool trips to NY and DC). But I do take my iPod with me everywhere. A wonderful device that does not break the bank.

This item was never received. Out of frustration, I let it go considering it would probably not be worth the aggervation it would cause to try to straighten it out.

It doesn’t work with iPhone 3G - false advertisement! I gave it to my cousins who have the nano… Waste!

4 Stars Not great, but not terrible
The product does what it’s advertised. It charged my iPod just fine until the prongs got all rusted (cheap metal).

Keep in mind how much the product costs and adjust your expectations accordingly.

As I said, it worked just fine for me, but I would have expected the prongs to not have rusted, at least not as quickly as they did (about 2 months with sporadic use).

I ordered this charger for my i touch, because it sais it is copatible with it, but it doesn’t work, it sais it is not compatible and doesnt charge. The main problem is I leave overseas ans theres nothing I can do.

Check this products before offering them for the itouch.

This tral charger does not fit the Ipod I have and it was advertised that it did. Very disappointing because I now own two and and I can not use them.

The charger shorted out, tripped the circuit breaker, and almost started a fire. Burn marks left on outlet. Glad it didn’t burn the house down or hurt somebody. Buyer beware.

Sounds clear when I can find a compatible station. The only drawback is that it will not charge a 4th generation IPOD Nano.

This product works wonderfully. I have had it for more than two months and it has not messed up yet. A previous one I had bought had a constant ringing noise in the background. This one does NOT have that ringing noise. Thank you!!!

1 Star Terrible if you are near any city
Extremely poor audio quality…mostly due to a weak transmitter. Does not charge any late generation ipods.

If you are anywhere near an urban area, their is so much interference from adjacent stations (no matter where you program the unit) and the weak transmitter just can’t overcome it. If you can actually find an area in the US that does not have many transmitters you might actually hear something though there will be a lot of static. The only time it has worked for me when I am deep underground in a parking garage. Useless.

Great inexpensive product that really does transmit iPod music through the car stereo with very little interference.

4 Stars Better than commercial radio
Generally works pretty well. There is some inevitable static but with the ability to change stations this can be minimized. Plays well enough in general but for the price paid it plays really well. Happy with purchase.
